Further completion on 1979 Eagle Pacific that ARS Marine could not or would not do in the (just short) of the 3 years it was there

Since the day I brought back the boat from ARS Marine (8-13-2010 also known as Friday The 13th)it has been a nightmare. I have had to go through the motor to clean out  the rodent mess costing $$$ plus time lost on the water and more headaches. Needed to go through the pump that was started and not finished costing $$$$ plus time lost on the water and more headaches.Ordered a new custom trailer from Loadmaster trailer co. costing $$$$ plus time lost on the water-no headaches on the trailer (Great job Loadmaster !!!) Carpet is in and all the interior is done costing $$$$ and still not in the water- headaches are starting to go away. Wiring is complete...boat is ready for water!!! next stop is the final touch.....Flame job......More pics coming soon....

Total paid

Total paid to ARS for incomplete and poor workmanship.

Pump was not finished

This is as far as ARS got on my pump for $6000 ???? for this price I could have bouight a Berkely race pump that would have at least been finished !!!

Brand new motor full of rodent food and waste

Disassembling motor to rework to get all of the rodent food and waste out of motor after returning from ARS Marine. The motor was a brand new $10,000 motor when delivered to ARS.

After sending ARS this last Email a strange thing happened - all of the restorations of my boat project disappeared from ARS's web site. Although lately has been putting a few back on...I often wonder how many (if any) complete restorations have been finished there ????.....I NEVER DID GET AHOLD OF THE BBB...... ........  ........WOULD YOU ???

Subject: RE: 79 Eagle ....Berkeley 12jg pump
Tom Blomme brought me a boat and said he needed to have his pump diverter & cables installed on his jet boat. When Tom showed up we went over the boat, I looked in side of the bowl and asked Tom, “ if he knew that the bowl was full of gear oil”. Tom said, “where did that come from”? I told him that it is from the shaft seal leaking.
Tom asked me to go thru the pump and install the diverter & cables. After taking the bowl off I found about two hand full’s of gravel in the bowl. There is no way that could have been picked up off the road. Somebody put it in there on purpose.
The bowl was suppose to be a new Aggressor Bowl it was not, it was a used Berkley bowl that had 8 bolt holes and the threads were stripped out, it looked like whoever put it together used some kind of epoxy to make the bolts stay in. The bolts were not tight. Where the cradle bolts to the bottom of the bowl it had been drilled mutable times there is only suppose to be two holes not four. Inside the bowl the seal was leaking. The stuffer plate had at least two pounds of silicone around it. The bolts that hold the stuffer plate in were corroded like they had been installed many years ago. Tom told me that he had the whole pump painted to match his boat, the paint that was used was very brittle and after one use in the water it would of peeled off. When putting the pump and diverter together the paint was chipping & cracking. Tom told me about his horror story where he had the work done on his boat.
There is a lot more that I found wrong with the work that was done. It was not very professional, the parts were not installed properly and I strongly feel that Tom defiantly had been taken advantage of. I would not recommend having anyone not even my worst enemy to go where Tom Blomme had his boat worked on.

Pump work that needed completeing after coming back from ARS

Need to finish pump after pick up from ARS.

My bill was a piece of scratch paper

This was the bill I got.  They made it up the day I got there.  It wasn't ready.  It is a piece of scratch paper with scribbles on it.  Nothing is documented.  No time, materials, tracking of any sort.....I actually had to sign a waiver stating I could not sue him for any problems occuring from his workmanship-now you tell me what does that say about ARS Marine?

Ready for pickup?

Pictures from the day I picked it up.  Nothing was ready.  There were parts in two different garages.  All over.  Over $1,000 worth of parts could not be located.  Tires were flat or low on the trailer.  No grease in brand new barrings.  Inside was not finished.  Wires hanging down.

Inside was not finished.

Not a professional looking shop.

Looks like a junk yard.

Asked for documentation and boat to be ready for pickup.
